Typically between weeks 32-36 would be the sweet spot! Leaning towards the earlier weeks gives you more wiggle room in the event of an induction or impatient baby - but you still want it to be close enough to delivery to have the information at the front of your mind.

By all means! There is no right or wrong answer so long as the control remains in your hands and you get your questions answered. As a doula I do tell my patients to be aware that in hospital or birthing center classes they may suggest things that align with their individual policies - not necessarily the needs of you and your family (like eating in labor).

You sure can! Childbirth Education classes make for an extremely thoughtful baby shower gift. Why give a temporary outfit or millionth box of diapers when you can give the gift of support and comfort during such a pivotal time.

I do not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose to pay privately at the time of service and submit a detailed invoice to their insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Depending on the individual plan, HSA or FSA funds may be able to be used to cover part or all of the workshop fee.

In person has a definite advantage in terms of the hands on segments and practical application of comfort techniques. That being said - virtual options can be offered if needed. I am flexible to be as accessible as possible so please reach out with specific questions!
